There are a number of benefits that distinguish rubber shingles from other roofing materials.
- Rubber roofs are very quiet in comparison to some metal roofing systems during rainstorms.
- Rubber systems will not rot or develop moss and algae like some cedar shake roofs.
- Rubber shingles provide double the physical coverage compared to metal systems. Each shingle extends underneath the visible part of the overlaping shingle. Most metal systems simply lock in at the very edge of the shingle.
