Asphalt Roofing

Asphalt shingles remain the roofing material of choice in today's market. Manufacturers today produce everything from traditional 3-tab style shingles to designer shingles that immitate the appearance of slate, tile and cedar shakes. Many homeowners are hesitant about using asphalt shingles because of a recent history of poor performance. Much of the reason many shingles have failed can be attributed to the organic era. However, often times when purchasing a new roof price homeowners will select the cheapest roof available to them. Choosing the right roofing contractor and combining experience with a solid roof specification can pay huge dividends over the life expectancy of your roofing system.

The Lifetime Roofing System

Shingles From your basic laminate shingle to your luxury designer roof, there are a wide variety of Lifetime shingles to choose from.
Roof Deck Protection Allows moisture to escape from your attic while providing an exceptionally strong layer of protection against wind-driven rain.
Leak Barriers Provides exceptional protection against leaks caused by roof settling and extreme weather. Ideal upgrade at all vulnerable areas including at the eaves in the North.
Starter Strip Shingle Saves time, eliminates waste, and reduces the risk of blow-off...and may even help qualify for upgraded wind warranty coverage.
Attic Ventilation Helps remove excess heat and moisture from your attic that can raise your energy bills, cause premature peeling of interior paint and wallpaper, and even affect your health.
Ridge Cap Shingles The perfect finishing touch to add beauty and value to your home—while guarding against leaks at the hips and ridges.

Be sure to review your selected shingle manufacturer’s Warranty documentation for complete coverage and restrictions. The word "Lifetime" means as long as the original individual owner(s) of a single family detached residence [or the second owner(s) in certain circumstances] owns the property where the shingles and accessories are installed. For owners/structures not meeting above criteria, Lifetime coverage is not applicable. Lifetime ltd. warranty on accessories requires the use of at least three qualifying GAF accessories and the use of Lifetime Shingles.

The Lifetime Roofing System was introduced by GAF in 2012. As North America’s largest shingle manufacturer GAF put their product through Extreme Shingle Testing to make sure their products would last the test of time. All other shingle manufacturers followed GAF’s lead by changing the language of their 30 year shingles to their own Lifetime systems. Watch the video below to see just how Extreme GAF’s Extreme Shingle Testing is.

Only 3% of roofing contractors in North America are Master Elite certified through GAF.
